C+V Community Talk in Partnership with the 平等机会办公室 和 Title IX: A Discussion on the Department of Education’s Proposed Title IX Regulations

Emily Babb is the Associate Vice Chancellor for Equal Opportunity 和 Title IX/Title IX Coordinator at the 新MG线上电子游戏, where she oversees the University's 平等机会办公室 和 Title IX, which is dedicated to preventing 和 responding to all forms of discrimination, 遵守民权法律, 和 providing equal access 和 opportunity to the University community. Before joining the 新MG线上电子游戏, Emily served as the Assistant Vice President for Title IX Compliance 和 Interim Associate Vice President for Equal Opportunity 和 Civil Rights at the University of Virginia 和 oversaw the University's compliance with Title IX. Prior to joining higher education, Emily was a Senior Attorney at the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights (OCR) Dallas office 和 the Program Manager 和 Acting Regional Director at the Clevel和 office. She is a graduate of DePauw University 和 earned her J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.

安妮P. DePrince is a distinguished university professor in the Psychology Department 和 also serves as Associate Vice Provost of Public Good Strategy 和 Research. With a team of graduate 和 undergraduate students, she pursues several lines of research with youth 和 adults to address questions about trauma, particularly violence against women 和 girls. 采用社区参与的方法, DePrince emphasizes working with community partners to identify research questions that can inform policy 和 practice while advancing scientific underst和ing of trauma outcomes 和 interventions. Her research was recognized by the Department of Justice with the Vision 21 Crime Victims Research Award for her contributions to the nation’s underst和ing of crime victims’ issues. She is author of “Every 90 Seconds: Our Common Cause Ending Violence against Women.”

Molly is the Deputy Title IX Coordinator. 莫莉妓女 rejoined the office, on May 1,2020. Molly served as the Interim Title IX coordinator at DU from August 2018 to February 2019 和 was a member of the original Title IX working group that helped shape the University's vision 和 strategy for Title IX compliance, including informing the broader community about the proposed Title IX regulations. She has been with the university since 2001, working in both academic 和 student affairs at the undergraduate 和 graduate levels. Molly earned her bachelor's degree from University of Colorado, Boulder 和 her master's degree from the University of Mississippi.
