How Does 第九条 Protect Me? 

第九条 protects pregnant 和 parenting students from discrimination. This includes pregnancy, 分娩, 假怀孕, termination of pregnancy, 流产, or recovery from any of these conditions. It is illegal to exclude a pregnant student from any part of an educational program due to their pregnancy 和 parenting status. 

Adjustments 和 Accommodations 

Any special services provided to students with temporary medical conditions must also be provided to a pregnant student in need of those same services. Reasonable adjustments may include, but are not limited to: 

  • 大的桌子 

  • Frequent bathroom breaks 

  • Flexibility with attendance 和 deadlines 

  • Makeup/online work 

  • Incomplete in course

  • Course withdrawal
